There are many different forms of technology in the world today. You may not know it, but the technology involved in educational has its very own classification.

Educational technology is an important area of the technology world. It is a term that means anything to do with learning and improving performance by utilizing technological resources. The term educational technology encompasses both instructional theory and learning theory and can include software, hardware, internet applications and internet activities. The term technology can not only refer to electronic devices, but also any other material objects used to improve student learning and to also improve teaching techniques.

In modern times educational technology encompasses computers and software and also things like smart phones and popular game consoles. Such technology allows interaction with a learner or a teacher in order to further his or her education and teaching capabilities. A lot of attention has been placed on the newer technology recently with many game consoles offering brain training and educational type programs.

As mentioned earlier, educational technology involves both instructional and learning theory. Instructional theory focuses on how to structure material in order to promote education within people, in particular young people. It is typically further divided into cognitive based and behavioural based learning techniques. Learning theory attempts to describe how humans and animals learn via cognitive, emotional and environmental influences. Learning theory helps us to understand the complex process involved in learning. It provides us with a framework for interpreting what we learn and also with solutions for practical problems.

The Importance of Updating Software Skills

While all employees should keep their skills sharp and keep up with the latest technology, it’s especially important for older workers and for the self-employed.
