Move over regular schools and colleges. Nobody wants to pay for the rent or taxes that colleges pay for the government. Nor do they want to pay for hostel fees, or dormitory fees, or other miscellaneous expenses. Enter online education. A revolutionary learning paradigm that will change the way education is delivered.
People want more value for money. They would not want to pay what they feel is not worth it. When education from an online university is as good as education from any regular university, why not choose the former?
Online education is the future of learning. It affords the flexibility, dynamism, and creativity that a regular university cannot give. It is convenient too. Universities do not need to upgrade their physical infrastructure to accommodate students. They needn’t hire more support staff to look into student matters. They needn’t pay more taxes to the government. They needn’t even have a physical office!
Universities around the world have to realize that education is global. If they have to produce world class students who can compete with the best in the world, they will have to believe in online education. Because in short time no more will the calls of the Oxfords and the Harvards be heeded. People prefer a virtual platform to learn and do things. Because they feel it gives the same results.
The thing that pulls online education back is the entering of some lackluster universities on the online education scene. There seems also no infrastructure in place to conduct surveys of online education efficacy. All this will take time. Very soon we will be learning everything online.
